Indications
Cardorite 20 is indicated for reducing and maintaining normal cholesterol levels in adults and children over 6 years old:
- Primary hypercholesterolemia (including heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia); mixed dyslipidemia (Type IIb) when non-pharmacological control measures are no longer effective.
- Patients with elevated serum triglycerides (Type IV).
- In combination with diet for patients with primary dysbetalipoproteinemia (Type III).
- In combination with dietary changes for patients with progressive atherosclerosis.
Prevention of cardiovascular complications:
- Primary prevention of cardiovascular disease in individuals without clinical symptoms of coronary artery disease but with high cardiovascular risk factors.
- Helps reduce the incidence of stroke and myocardial infarction.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to any component of the medicine.
Active liver disease, including persistent, unexplained elevation of serum transaminases, and when transaminase levels exceed three times the upper limit of normal.
Severe renal impairment.
Myopathy.
Concurrent use with cyclosporine.
Pregnant or breastfeeding women, and women of childbearing potential not using appropriate contraceptive measures.
